So I took some time out on 28th May to ask the public where
they see Nigeria in 20 years. The responses were an eye opener to me. Some people said, "I won't be in this country
then....."
"This country is bad already, God help us before 20
years...."
Some even denied being Nigerians.
The only positive response I got was this.... "with the
right leadership we can make a head way in Agriculture, Manufacturing and
power, I'm not sure about education yet, but with the right
leadership......"
So, this is where I see Nigeria in 20 years
**********************************
20 years from now, I see a nation with over 300 languages
speaking the one language of patriotism.
How patriotic? At least patriotic enough to know both
stanzas of the national anthem and understand what it means.
20 years from now, I see Nigeria with a vision, a vision so
succinct it can answer the question "what does Nigeria stand for?"
20 years from now, I
see Nigeria having a self identified ideology that guides her citizens for the
betterment of the nation.
20 years from now, I see selfless leadership portrayed in
every aspect of our nation's activity, a nation where the need to survive is
not the motivating factor but where achievement of vision is the motivation.
20 years from now I see, a nation where her educational
system is objectively intent with learning and not just with passing exams.
20 years from now, I see a nation where her young citizens
are concerned with investing in her, than in wandering away to other countries.
Where every young Nigerian can talk about Nigeria's future
without sounding like they're giving a bad eulogy, Nigeria is not dead.
20 years from now I see a nation so passionate about
innovation that they are self sufficient enough to sustain their economy.
20 years from now I see Nigeria amongst the top ten
producing and exporting nations with the exception of crude.
20 years from now I see a nation where politics is inspired
of leadership and not just played as a dirty game for scheming money.
20 years from now, I see a nation that has bureaucracy and
mediocrity eradicated from its administration, a nation where problem solving
policies are made, and continuity is seen in every administration.
20 years from now, I see a nation whose defense and legal
system have regard for human life, for preserving Justice and for upholding the
law.
20 years from now, we have built mental structures that are
strong enough to be replicated on the society's infrastructure and the
maintenance of them.
20 years from now, I see entrepreneurial activities and
business development become more effective because the right infrastructures
are made available by both the government and private bodies.
20 years from now, I see Nigeria as a nation that has been
indoctrinated into the BLW
system of thinking and acting and exceptional-ism, where the gross mental output
of every citizen is focused on excellence, improvement and prosperity.
20 years from now I will be 45, I will be a gospel rap legend,
with 4 kids, 3 major companies, 2 major schools (1 art and 1 business) and 1
Country - My Nigeria
My name is Karla God, and this is where I see Nigeria in 20
years.
